Food from the Heart is an independent, homegrown food charity with IPC status that feeds the less-fortunate through its food distribution programmes.
We enhanced the nutritional value of our food packs to provide a more balanced diet for our beneficiaries. With nearly 380 distribution points throughout Singapore, an uplift of 12% compared to the previous year, our programmes are more accessible to those in need. In the year under review, we made a difference to the lives of close to 64,000 individuals by distributing more than $8.5 million worth of food.
As a charity that does not receive regular government funding, Food from the Heart depends on our community of donors, sponsors and volunteers to impact more lives. On behalf of the Board, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each one of you for your trust and support. I would also like to sincerely thank former Directors Chin Bottinelli, Kenneth Chan, Knut Unger, and Advisor Chris Martin for their invaluable contributions and dedicated service.
Our Community Shop initiative provides convenience and empower our beneficiaries with the dignity of choice to choose the food they want. It represents our long-term view of providing food security sustainably, which will bring us to the transformative impact we hope to see. This year, we are striving to add another two to our network, bringing the total to seven Shops.

DOWNLOAD NOWFood from the Heart works with grassroot organisations and welfare homes to reach out to those who need our support. Our beneficiaries include lower-income individuals and families who are residents of welfare homes, as well as those staying in the housing estates. Their monthly per capita income typically falls below $800*.

*We raise the qualifying monthly household per capita income (PCI) for our beneficiaries from $690 to $800 starting January 2023 to help more individuals and families cope with rising costs of living and inflation.
